'Recanto' is the name of my neighborhood.

All the memories I can remember was lived here, where I grew up and still living. In my perception of what is big, it's a small neighborhood in a young city that I'm seeing grow (Rio das Ostras, 102 miles away from Rio de Janeiro). Everything change so fast, a lot of people come and go every year, it's good and necessary [sic], but makes me think about our identity. It may change it's ok but I don't want to lose it. So in this project I photographed – still working on it – black men of my generation that grew up and live at Recanto. Is the way I found to do something for the neighborhood and register our generation.
